According to the "Fileleftheros" website and other news sites, Hristodulidis expressed his hope that Holguin's contacts on and off the island would lead to the resumption of substantive talks on the Cyprus problem. Stating that Holguin's contacts outside Cyprus are of "decisive importance", Hristodulidis repeated that the meeting he will hold today is "very important". Hristodulidis said, "Holguin is coming to see where we are, how to accelerate the achievement of the goal of an expanded conference in which the resumption of negotiations will be announced. I look forward to the meeting tomorrow and I hope the results will be achieved."
